June, 27, 2008
Fenner Dunlop has reached an agreement to purchase assets of Conveyor Services Corporation group of companies (CSC) including sister companies Classic Conveyor Components (Classic), LoadOut Services Inc. (LoadOut), and a majority interest in Conveyor Services, SA (CS Chile). All companies combined form the “CSC Group”.
“Because our core business is conveyor belting, this acquisition is an extension of our strategy to create value for our customers. By offering a total turn-key solution we have enhanced our offering”, stated David Hurd, President, Fenner Dunlop Americas. “By adding the system and service support to our team, we further enhance the support we give to our TCSD and Distributor Network.”
CSC is one of the leading conveyor systems solutions providers in North America employing over 250 service technicians operating eight full service facilities throughout the United States. The CSC group is wholly owned by Troy, Joy, Patrick, and Keith Dolan and just celebrated its twenty-second year in the industry.
Classic Conveyor Components designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains a diverse line of conveyor components for mining and material handling industries. Classic also manufactures a full line of conveyor idlers and structures, including complete systems.
LoadOut Services Inc. was launched in 2002 by Owner and Founder Troy Dolan who saw a need within the coal industry to help coal companies ease the burden of transportation costs. Operating mainly in the western US coal fields, this acquisition will expand the growing market base for Fenner Dunlop.
Conveyor Services, Chile, is one of the largest Chilean registered full service companies located in the northern mining regions of Chile.
Conveyor Services has continually made large investments in safety, education, training, apprenticeship programs for employees, and equipment during their twenty-two years. The acquisition is a true enhancement to the Fenner Dunlop Americas business model, supporting the real needs of its customer with quality products and the most experienced personnel in the industry.
A new division has been created and will operate as Fenner Dunlop Conveyor Services. Part of this division is King Energy Services in New Mexico, which was recently acquired by Fenner Dunlop.
“We continue to invest in America and the communities we operate in. The future of this country relies upon companies investing in our communities and Fenner Dunlop intends to play our part in this process,” Hurd stated. “These acquisitions and the $100 million investment we have made in our Port Clinton, OH; Toledo, OH, and Hart County, GA, facilities confirm our commitment to our strategic plan”, he said.
“The acquisition strengthens our already strong service and support network in the Mining industry. This move will enable us to meet the growing demands of the Mining community with a hands-on approach, listening to their issues and needs and providing real solutions,” stated Don Sublett, Fenner Dunlop Director of Marketing. “The goal is to maximize our customers’ up-time and improve productivity, always keeping safety as the major focus in the work place today."
