WEARLOK® - Your Answer For Tunnelling
WEARLOK® CARCASS
Wearlok® utilizes a Georgia Duck-developed straight-warp, all-synthetic carcass. This development is a total departure from the traditional, plied belt concept and steel cord/rubber belt construction, making it tougher and stronger than conventional high-tension belt constructions. Strength is concentrated length-wise and cross-wise in parallel planes of heavyweight, high-strength straight yarns, locked together by a unique binder system. The synthetic fibers yield a
higher unit strength and exceptional resistance to abrasion, cutting, and snagging. Wearlok® provides high load-carrying capacity, extended life, and very low stretch.
SUPERIOR ABUSE RESISTANCE
Wearlok®'s impact resistance is up to three times greater than that of conventional plied belting, while rip and tear resistance is improved up to six times in some constructions. This greater abuse resistance means the belt will not be easily damaged in the conveying and loading of large lumps. As a result, the belt will last longer in rough service.
BALANCED COVERS
Balanced cover ratios are extremely important in conveyor belt manufacturing. Conveyor belt cupping, curling, and tracking problems are greatly reduced with a well-balanced conveyor belt. Wearlok® takes this concept a step further and gives you the piece of mind that not only do you have a well balanced conveyor belt but a product that will stand up to the most stringent applications.
Wearlok® I
Wearlok® I is manufactured with the pulley cover gauge at least one half of the carry cover gauge.
Example:
1/16" x 1/16", 1/8" x 1/16", 3/16" x 3/32", 1/4 x 1/8".
Wearlok® II
Wearlok® II Is manufactured with the pulley cover at
least one third of the carry cover gauge.
Example:
3/16" x 1/16", 1/4" x 3/32", 3/8 x 1/8".
